Academy’s mission
To be the leading international forum for continuous
dialogue between researcher, practitioners and
industry, promoting 'research- based' design in
professional practice and advocating standards in
the development of Psychosocially Supportive Design
that promote health and wellbeing.
Objectives

To stimulate and develop high quality
research in the fields of design, health, culture and
science.

To strengthen and promote the exchange of
research findings among scientists, health
professionals, designers, industry and managers and
procurers of work and public environments around the world.

To be an advocate for high quality research
on issues of design and health to business, the public
sector and government.

To develop an integrated and innovative mix
of educational, research, advocacy, event, media and
publishing activities.

To be truly interdisciplinary and develop our
network globally with equal input from researchers,
practitioners, governments and business.
