HACIRIC Projects
The focus of the Health and Care Infrastructure Research and Innovation Centre is on the underlying built and technical infrastructure for health and social care, and the interaction between this infrastructure and change and innovation in care services.
HaCIRIC has identified four core collaborative areas for research (CCAs). These concentrate on acknowledged issues in policy and practice. Each CCA comprises a series of research projects bringing together the HaCIRIC partners, along with associated knowledge transfer and dissemination activities.
Core Collaborative Areas 1. Stimulating innovation through finance and delivery models 2. Managing change and innovation 3. Innovation impacts - outcomes and value 4. Design and decision-making
Its research programme has been developed in partnership with all the key stakeholders from the health and care systems, including the Department of Health, the NHS, the Department of Trade & Industry, and supply industries.
The collaborative, multi-disciplinary nature of HaCIRIC is critical for generating new knowledge, tools and techniques supported by rigorous conceptual frameworks and robust analysis.
