MEED Healthcare Projects 2010
MEED’s annual Healthcare Projects conference, supported by the Dubai Health Authority and the Ministry of Health in Oman, will discuss key regulatory drivers, investment opportunities and major projects planned to meet the needs of the region’s growing healthcare industry.
Delving into the key drivers behind the demand for these projects, the conference will provide an opportunity for those attending to meet key clients from across the GCC who will discuss their future plans and where the opportunities are for private sector involvement.
Prof Alan Dilani, founder of the International Academy for Design & Health will speak on the economic benefit of a salutogenic approach to the design of the physical environment, whilst Dr Manar Al Moneef, director general, Health & Life Science Sector, SAGIA (Saudi Arabia’s General Investment Authority) and Eng Sobhi A Batterjee, president and chief executive officer, Saudi German Hospitals Group will explore where the opportunities are and how they are going about funding and financing high profile projects throughout the region.
Dr Dalal Al Wadaani, director of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Hospital, Ministry of Health, Kuwait will introduce the new Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Hospital, their current plans and how they are approaching the BOT process for managing this large scale project.
Attendees will also hear about the current and future plans of The Supreme Council of Health in Qatar, the DHA, HAAD and the Ministry of Oman.
