Criteria
Award to recognize a therapeutic space that enhances the health, wellbeing and quality of life of the patients, staff and visitors. Preference will be shown to projects which respect the privacy and dignity of patients and illustrate originality in design approach and environmental sustainability.
All submissions must demonstrate how:
- The design captures the culture of the organization and supports the wellbeing of patients, visitors and staff.
- Research has affected the design and how the final installation will be evaluated against stated goals
- The physical environment promotes improved interpersonal relations between patients, families, and staff
- The total environment positively impacts all of the senses
- The interior design supports maintenance efforts, budgets, and environmentally sustainable initiatives
